The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will increase patrols around houses of worship following Thursday’s attack at a Michigan synagogue.
According to a social media post by MCSO, County Supervisor Thomas Galvin requested the enhanced security measures and Sheriff Jerry Sheridan “readily agreed.”
“The sheriff’s office is taking steps to enhance patrol visibility throughout Maricopa County,” the statement read.

Thomas Galvin, Maricopa County Supervisor and Rose Law Group partner, tells RLGR: “After yesterday’s terror attacks in Virginia and Michigan, I called the sheriff and asked him to send MCSO deputies and the Posse to synagogues and Jewish community centers. He immediately said yes.”
