The Arizona Association for Economic Development has honored Queen Creek Economic Development Project Manager Marissa Garnett with its Economic Developer of the Year (Medium Community) award.
The award recognizes outstanding achievement by a professional, including the overall economic impact on their community, the development of strong relationships, their innovation and creativity, and contributions to the profession.
Garnett began her career with the town in 2014 as a research assistant. Highlights of her work for the town include being instrumental in landing Queen Creek’s first onsite brewery and assisting with the development of the Small Business Grant Assistance program during COVID.
