Council OKs Chandler infill lots

It’s not often a resident signs up to speak and thank a city council for approving a development application.

That’s what Paul Stears did June 25 after the Chandler City Council approved a consent agenda that included greenlighting rezoning and a development plan that are meant to create a few more infill homes.

Council approved rezoning about six acres of vacant land at the west end of the Tremaine Park development, against Arizona Avenue, one-half mile north of the northeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road, plus a preliminary development plan.

The rezone is from what Chandler calls AG-1, or an agricultural district, to “AG1/Planned Area Development (PAD).”
