Pinal County is updating Zoning Code
Section 2.150.260 regarding Home Based Businesses.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A HOME-BASED BUSINESS?
The Home-Based Business standards will allow a business to be operated by the owners or tenants of a dwelling unit in a residential or rural zoning district under certain conditions, provided the business use is clearly incidental to the residential use of the property and is compatible with the residential or rural character of the neighborhood.
WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE UPDATE?
The number of home-based businesses has greatly increased within the County, and the current zoning code provisions need to be updated to address this growth and recognize the diversity in the types of home-based businesses.
WHAT DOES THE UPDATE AFFECT?
The home-based business standards would apply to any properties within unincorporated Pinal County with a residential or rural zoning classification.
