President Donald Trump on Friday reaffirmed his endorsement of former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb for Congress on Truth Social. This comes after allegations against Lamb of sexual misconduct and abuse of power.
“It is my Great Honor to endorse MAGA Warrior Mark Lamb, who is running to represent the Great People of Arizona’s 5th Congressional District,” Trump said in the post. “As the former Sheriff of Pinal County, Mark strongly supports our incredible Law Enforcement, Military, and Veterans, and knows the Wisdom and Courage it takes to Ensure LAW AND ORDER.”
Campaign ads attacking Lamb focused on allegations of sexual misconduct, abuse of power, and explicit messages he sent as he runs for Congress.
The ads began airing days after reports surfaced accusing Lamb of inappropriate sexual behavior, threatening women who spoke out and sending racist and homophobic messages. Trump had endorsed Lamb before the allegations came to light.
