The city of Phoenix is looking at selling the Capital Mall building it owns at Van Buren Street and 10th Avenue.
The city-owned building was built in 1937, was once home to Arizona National Guard operations and is now unoccupied.
The Phoenix City Council’s Land Use and Livability Subcommittee is being asked at its meeting Wednesday, Nov. 18 to authorize the sales process for the property. The request would then go to the full council.
The building on the site is 2,600 square feet and sits between the core of downtown Phoenix and the Arizona State Capitol.
