The city of Scottsdale is looking to move to the next phase of improvements and renovations at Scottsdale Stadium.
The ballpark is the spring training home of the San Francisco Giants and also hosts Arizona Fall League baseball games and other events.
Scottsdale owns the ballpark and has been modernizing and improving the facility.
The Scottsdale City Council is scheduled to vote Jan. 12 on approving a $4.66 million allocation for a second phase of capital improvements to the stadium.
The money is coming from tourism tax revenue that was allocated toward the first phase of the ballpark renovations but has not yet been used.
The first phase of improvements included enhancements for fan experiences at games and more shading at the Old Town ballpark.
