Plans for a Meow Wolf hotel on Roosevelt Row in Phoenix that would combine lodging with an immersive art experience have been canceled.
Meow Wolf, an art collective based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, confirmed to The Arizona Republic on Feb. 24 that it would no longer pursue the 400-room hotel project.
Meow Wolf specializes in immersive art experiences “that transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of story and exploration,” according to its website. The original location, the House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, was so popular that the company recently opened a similar attraction in Las Vegas and one in Denver is under construction.
