The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board accepted a construction manager at risk agreement between the district and McCarthy Building Companies to handle the estimated $18.5 million rebuild at Kiva Elementary School.
On Tuesday, March 2, the Governing Board approved the CMAR agreement between SUSD and McCarthy for preconstruction and construction services regarding the proposed remodel/rebuild project at Kiva Elementary School.
Before adopting the proposed CMAR agreement for preconstruction and construction services, the Governing Board approved selecting McCarthy and awarded preconstruction services up to a .7% of the estimated construction costs and/or amount of the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) for the preconstruction remodel/rebuild project at the Feb. 16 meeting, stated Jennifer MacLennan, outside counsel for SUSD.
