Grocery chain plans new store in Casa Grande

CASA GRANDE — Aldi, an international grocery store chain, has submitted plans to the city Planning and Development Department for review.

According to Planner Jim Gagliardi, the grocery store still must receive approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission. However, the meeting date in which Aldi will come before the commission has yet to be decided.

Aldi is the common brand of two German family-owned discount supermarket chains with over 10,000 stores in 20 countries. According to Aldi’s website, the company’s mission is a faster, easier, and smarter way to save money on high-quality groceries and more.
