Brewer: Lack of record will be tough for some Arizona governor hopefuls

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said Wednesday it’s going to be very tough for some Arizona governor hopefuls that don’t have a previous political record.

The most recent and obvious of the Arizona governor 2022 hopefuls without a political record is former Valley TV anchor Kari Lake, who announced her run for the office on Tuesday evening.

Brewer had a long political record before taking the governor’s chair in Arizona back in 2009, having previously served in both the state House and Senate before moving on to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and eventually Arizona’s Secretary of State.

She told KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Gaydos and Chad on Wednesday the difficulty comes from not having a reputation that people can look into.
