ADA, other improvements planned at Hohokam Stadium

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The Mesa City Council is scheduled to vote on Thursday on more than $3 million worth of American with Disabilities Act and other improvements at Hohokam Stadium.

The City of Mesa owns the stadium which is the Cactus League home for the Oakland Athletics.

The council will consider awarding a $3.1 million contract to W.E. O’Neil Construction focused on ADA-related improvements at the ballpark.

That will include creating ADA-accessible paths, improving ramps and handrails as well as making concrete repairs to dugouts and bullpen areas.

The contract will also have a $311,600 allowance for additional costs.
