Mesa looks at selling land for residential development

By Mike Sunnucks | Rose Law Group Reporter

The City of Mesa is looking at selling land near Thomas Road and Loop 202 freeway for $1.7 million for a planned residential development.

The city owns the land which currently has grapefruit citrus trees on it.

The Mesa City Council will vote on whether to sell the 12.58-acre site to Lehi Land LLC at its Thursday meeting.

Lehi Land was the winning bidder from an online auction conducted by the city.

Arizona Corporation Commission records list Randy Hansen and Leslie Hanson among the corporate managers for Lehi Land.

The land is zoned for single family residential and the council will also consider a development agreement with Lehi Land for homes on the property.
