NHL denies Phoenix Coyotes talks with Quebecor Inc.

National Hockey League Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said today the league is not talking to Canadian communications giant Quebecor Inc. about buying the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Canadian company would be interested in moving the league-owned Coyotes to Quebec City. Quebecor is partnering on the construction of a new arena there.

“No,” Daly said in an email to the Phoenix Business Journal when asked about possible negotiations.
