Renewable natural gas derived from cow manure and industrial food waste is being produced by a business in Stanfield that was recently approved for a second issuance of solid waste disposal facilities revenue bonds.
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors on Aug, 25 voted on a resolution approving the proceedings of the county’s Industrial Development Authority for the issuance of up to $90 million in solid waste disposal facilities revenue bonds, with Supervisor Kevin Cavanaugh, District 1, dissenting.
“Mr. chairman, mine will be a ‘nay’ as I don’t understand enough about the project,” Cavanaugh said.
The bonds will be issued in one or more tax-exempt and/or taxable series, the proceeds of which will be used to finance or refinance the cost of acquiring, constructing, improving, equipping and operating solid waste disposal facilities owned and operated by WOF SW GGP 1, a Delaware limited liability company.
