Dawn Grove is vice president and corporate counsel for Karsten Manufacturing, the parent company of PING, a golf gear company started by her grandfather.
Dawn Grove, a manufacturing executive and attorney whose family built the PING golf empire, announced Wednesday she is running to be Arizona’s next Republican attorney general.
Grove, 54, is vice president and corporate counsel for Karsten Manufacturing, the parent company of PING, which specializes in custom-fit equipment. She has not previously served in an elected position, and said in an interview she felt called to run for office now.
“I want to stop the overreach of government into our families, faith, freedoms and free enterprise, and preserve the liberties and opportunities that have been so valuable to me and my family for the next generation of Arizonans,” Grove said. “And I really believe the Attorney General’s Office is the most impactful place to do that.”
Grove said she is “unashamedly pro-life” when asked about her views on abortion and would “always stand up for the most vulnerable among us.” She said ensuring communities are safe will help businesses thrive in Arizona, and to do so she will defend the state’s borders.
