The Gilbert Town Council is scheduled to consider a liquor license application for a planned cornhole-themed bar and venue in a former Goodwill store.
The Hole 9 Yards venue is going into the former thrift store space at a shopping center at Gilbert Road and Guadalupe Road in the East Valley.
The Goodwill store closed and the cornhole venue plans on opening later this year.
The council will consider its recommendation on the business’ liquor license application at its Oct. 19 meeting.
Arizona Corporation Commission filings list Todd Kisicki, Nic Feinstein and Chad Underwood as Hole 9 Yards LLC’s’ managing members.
Cornhole has become a popular game at football tailgates, picnics and other get-togethers.
