CASA GRANDE — As the housing boom continues, Casa Grande is adding young people and families to the city. But the more residents that arrive, the more people complain that there’s not enough entertainment options, particularly after hours.
As part of a day-long workshop on the city’s strategic plan Wednesday, City Council members and city officials discussed what the local government could do to help facilitate more entertainment opportunities for young adults in the community.
“People keep telling me ‘Maricopa is getting this or that,’ so where is that focus for us?” said Councilwoman Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons. “Where is the focus on bringing activities everyone is looking for? People have to drive to Chandler or Gilbert for entertainment.”
