Parsons gets $49M Army Corps of Engineers contract to clean up munitions, former military sites in Arizona, other states
Engineering firm Parsons Corp. has been awarded a $49 million contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to clean up munitions and other military sites in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.
Parsons — which specializes in defense and intelligence engineering and infrastructure work — will perform the remediation work for the Army Corps’ Sacramento District.
Parsons has an office in Tempe.
“We stand ready to provide the tools, technology, and expertise to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in their continued efforts to clean up contamination across the country,” said Jon Moretta, president of engineered systems, for Parsons. “Our teams have supported USACE’s environmental efforts for nearly 30 years and look forward to serving the Sacramento District in this quest.”
The work includes the remediation of potentially toxic and radioactive waste and former U.S. military munitions sites in Arizona and other Western states.
