Wickenburg P&Z approves hotel application

Construction of a Cobblestone hotel in Wickenburg moved a little closer to reality last week. The proposed hotel would be built along US 60 in Wickenburg on the hill between Sundance Pizza and Burger King, and would be accessed from El Recreo Drive and Bass Road.

During its meeting Thursday, the Town’s Planning and Zoning Advisory Commission approved Stu Sell of Brimark Builders’ application for development review for the four-story hotel with a proposed 86 rooms.

“We are excited about the support from Planning and Zoning and can’t wait to get this project moving,” Cobblestone CEO Brian Wogernese said. “From here we are hoping to get on the city council agenda ASAP and get dirt moving early in 2022. This hotel project has been in the works for many years and is definitely needed for the town of Wickenburg.”
