An updated rezoning request has been filed in Scottsdale for a proposed vehicle storage facility near the Loop 101 Freeway and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
The city is being asked to rezone 3.38-acre infill parcel “from
R1-35 (Single-family Residential) to C-3 (Highway Commercial) to allow for an Internalized Community Storage facility. The zoning was initially requested for C-4 (General Commercial); after discussions with City of Scottsdale staff, the request (was) modified to C-3 (Highway Commercial).”
The parcel is surrounded by commercial uses and the Central Arizona Project Canal. Plans have been submitted by RKAA Architects Inc. for the storage facility which will house recreational vehicles (RVs). The project will be three stories tall and total 129,949 square feet.
Clear Sky Capital Self Storage LP is listed as the owner of the property, according to county records.
