PHOENIX — Construction has started on a project in downtown Mesa that will turn a 10-acre empty lot along Main Street into a 335-unit multifamily complex, the city announced Tuesday.
Mesa Arts District Lofts, located east of Sirrine on the former Brown and Brown auto dealership site, will offer a variety of housing options ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom townhomes.
“This is an exciting step forward in the transformation of Mesa’s downtown, providing an additional housing option in an ideal location,” Mayor John Giles said in a press release.
