Goodyear City Council cleared the way last week to open the city’s first Raising Cane’s, a Baton Rouge-based fast-food chain known for its chicken fingers.

The restaurant is planned on the northwest corner of Dysart Road and Interstate 10 at the Palm Valley Cornerstone commercial center.

The 1.68-acre parcel was previously occupied by a Mimi’s Cafe, which will be demolished. When completed, the location will include a two-lane drive-thru.

Development plans are still being reviewed, but the location is expected to open in late 2022, according to the city of Goodyear.
