Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly is leaving his Republican rivals in the dust, raising a whopping $9 million in the last three months of 2021.
Not even his wealthiest GOP challengers came close to matching Kelly’s formidable fundraising.
Businessman Jim Lamon said he raised $3.2 million this quarter, while Blake Masters, the head of the private Thiel Foundation, said he raised $1.38 million during the same period.
The biggest loser in this GOP primary? Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, who said he brought in just $800,000 in the last quarter of the year. And that was even after practically turning his office into his campaign headquarters.
Brnovich is toast, if money is any indication – which it often is about election prospects.
