The Gilbert Town Council will hold a spring financial retreat March 3 to look to challenges and issues facing the East Valley suburb.
The council will look at infrastructure needs, water resources, the impacts of inflation, staffing needs and the potential for utility rate increases.
The town continues to see growth and is looking at the future of its popular Heritage District area on Gilbert Road near Elliot Road.
The retreat will be held at 8 a.m. at the Southeast Regional Library.
The town has fairly new leadership.
Mayor Brigette Peterson began her first term as mayor last year.
Council members Yung Koprowski, Scott September, Laurin Hendrix and Cathy Tilque are also fairly new to the Gilbert Council.
