The White Claw factory in Glendale has been recognized as one of the top economic development projects in the country by BNSF Railway Co.
The railroad said new and enhanced projects it serves in the U.S. totaled $1.5 billion in 2021.
One of the top projects is Mark Anthony Brewing’s new production facility in the West Valley.
BNSF pointed to the $450 million, 300-job project building “a new facility capable of receiving tank car shipments of glucose and alcohol to produce White Claw Hard Seltzer.”
The Texas-based railroad also pointed to a Gatorade development in Kansas City that links to a BNSF logistics park and a $75 million metal recycling project in Minnesota.
“The success of BNSF’s rail development program is a result of our employees working with our customers to build unique supply chain solutions that fit their distinctive needs,” said Chris Danos, assistant vice president, economic development. “Flexibility is the key to helping our customers maximize their investments, saving them development costs and expediting their speed to market.”
