Prosperity and hope run deep in the Deer Valley area of north Phoenix as the prospects of what comes following a massive semiconductor manufacturing facility excites people involved in the local real estate market.
DAUM Vice President Bob Lundstedt has sold real estate in Deer Valley for some 40 years, and he sees changes coming in significant ways.
In 1997, buyers could purchase land for $2.50 per square foot in the area. With Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. building its site in north Phoenix, it’s easy to see why land is more coveted by builders and supplier companies. Now, that same land can be sold for as much as $25 per square foot, he said.
