In support of their efforts to stop competition, slow solar adoption, and forever deprive Arizonans of electric choice, Arizona’s monopoly utilities have been making statements and circulating a “fact sheet” to legislators. Upon closer inspection, this “fact sheet” is revealed to almost exclusively consist of false and misleading statements. For example, entire sections of the “fact sheet” claim that HB2101 includes provisions that are already in law today. In other words, SRP, APS, and TEP are telling lawmakers that their bill does things that it does not do. This memo exposes these lies and more.

At this point, it is impossible to believe anything they say on this subject. This fact sheet is more fiction than fact and lawmakers need to know. The monopolies have proven that they will say and do anything to make sure Arizonans never ever get a choice of energy providers.”
