Opinion: A Democratic super PAC is spending $1.5 million in Spanish-language ads to help Sen. Mark Kelly. It’s a good start, but is it enough to win?

It has finally dawned on Democrats that Sen. Mark Kelly can’t win without Latinos, which explains why they are spending big on Spanish-language media.
The Democratic super PAC called Majority Forward is spending $1.5 million just this month in TV and radio ads in Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma, Politico reported.
Majority Forward deserves much credit for spending all that money in Arizona, as well as some $650,000 to help reelect Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada.
They seem to have taken note of the Republican Party’s gains among Latino voters, most notably in south Texas and Florida.
They must also know that Latinos in Arizona and elsewhere aren’t particularly happy with President Biden’s failure to pass immigration reform and other issues important to them.ee
$1.5 million in a month is a decent sum
But Sen. Kelly and the rest of Arizona Democratic clan will need to give Arizona Latinos good reasons to actually vote this year instead of sitting out the midterms, as many tell me they intend to do.
