An agriculture technology company with a focus on artificial intelligence and autonomous platforms has opened a new engineering center in Scottsdale.
South Dakota-based Raven Industries has opened the Arizona center with a focus on leveraging engineering and technology talent coming out of Arizona State University.
The Scottsdale engineering hub is located at the ASU SkySong Innovation Center at McDowell Road and Scottsdale Road.
Raven is also expanding its Sioux Falls, South Dakota headquarters and will add more real-time engineering testing and research and development for automation, AI and machine learning.
CNH Industrial, which has its corporate headquarters in London and Amsterdam and is an arm of the Italian Agnelli family conglomerate, acquired Raven late last year.
“Our integration with Raven is rapidly accelerating technology delivery to customers,” said Parag Garg, Chief Digital Officer, CNH Industrial. “It allows our Engineering teams to efficiently go from ‘code to cab’ to develop and deploy new technologies. These sites, combined with our existing activities, will reinforce our commitment to have engineers work closely with our customers.”
Raven hopes its Arizona center helps it recruit and retain engineers and software developers.
“These expansions are a direct reflection of our commitment to autonomous development,” noted John Preheim, Raven Vice President of Engineering. “We are dedicated to delivering autonomous solutions that help growers optimize their operations, and these centers of excellence will provide the space and resources to support this vision.”
