Malewitz ready to go to work as Eloy city manager

ELOY — After previous Eloy City Manager Harvey Krauss announced his retirement in November of last year, the City Council took their time deciding on who would take over the position. And although negotiations are still ongoing, Acting City Manager David Malewitz seems poised to take the spot.

The Virginia Tech graduate came to Eloy to serve as Krauss’ assistant, with the original plan for him being to work under Krauss for two years. Although that timeframe ultimately was accelerated, Malewitz jumped at the opportunity to take over, bringing a youthful and positive energy to the role.
