The Desert Foothills Lutheran Church is planning a major expansion for its 15.24-acre property near Scottsdale Road and Dixileta Drive.
The church has submitted plans with the City of Scottsdale for a new 13,415-square-foot sanctuary, a new 9,296-square-foot worship center along with adding 3,600 square feet to the existing 21,000-square-foot sanctuary.
Plans also call for 116 new parking spaces as part of the expansion effort. There are currently 154 spaces in the church.
Plans also call for new drainage, fire and water lines.
The church is seeking site and design plan approvals from the city.
