Gehan Homes is fourth in line in terms of real estate development in the Surprise City Center, but should be the first in one category.
The Surprise Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a preliminary plat for Gehan at Surprise Center during its May 19 meeting.
This development is on an 11.14 acre site on the southwest corner of Luke Parkway and Litchfield Road. Gehan will build 130 single-family attached town home lots for sale.
“Gehan will be the first for-sale property in the City Center,” Carefree Partners vice president Scott Phillips said.
Three rental projects are on their way first in the City Center.
Family Development’s Town Surprise townhouses are well under construction first up next to the downtown restaurant row on Bell Road.
Phillips said fencing is up for Atlanta-based Wood Partners’ project off Litchfield Road. When finished, it will have 320 three-story walk-up units.
