ELOY — While housing, retail and economic development were key points for all, the candidates in the Eloy city election all attempted to stake their claim as to why they deserve the residents’ votes during a lively candidate forum hosted by PinalCentral.
The forum, held inside the council chambers at Eloy City Hall Tuesday evening, was attended by the two candidates for mayor, incumbent Micah Powell and challenger Richard Horton, as well as the four candidates for City Council, incumbents Andrew Rodriguez, Georges Reuter and Jose Garcia and challenger Michelle Tarango.
The candidates fielded questions about revitalizing the city’s downtown, attracting new residents and businesses, and their short-term and long-term visions for the city.
