Candidates for Coolidge City Council share views at forum

COOLIDGE — “This is not a debate,” said Chamber of Commerce President Matthew McCormick in moderating the Coolidge City Council candidate public forum Wednesday evening. “Tonight’s format has been designed to help the candidates present their viewpoints as thoughtfully as possible.”

Five of six total candidates vying for three open seats attended a public forum hosted by the Coolidge Chamber of Commerce and PinalCentral within the council chambers. Due to the format, there was little discussion between candidates, leaving things rather amicable for most of the night.

Candidate Adriana Saavedra, Central Arizona College library director, was unable to attend that night.
