The people who want to become Arizona’s next governor collectively will spend tens of millions of dollars over the next few months to convince voters why they should select them. That spending will mean ubiquitous advertising – both positive and negative, but mostly negative – and myriad other efforts to craft carefully orchestrated messages.
To help cut through the noise, The Arizona Republic has spent months documenting hundreds of statements made by candidates at rallies, in various media appearances, in campaign literature and other venues. We have narrowed those to the most relevant and transparent comments they have made on some of the top issues.
These are the candidates in their own words. View statements on an issue by selecting a category (abortion, border security/immigration, etc.), filter by candidate to view that candidate’s comments, or do your own search.
