CASA GRANDE — Nearly 1,300 new homes could be added to Casa Grande, along with a new Freddy’s Frozen Custard and a Taiwanese semiconductor-related manufacturing plant following unanimous approval of multiple proposals by the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission Thursday.
The largest of the housing projects, Elaine Farms, features 711 single-family lots. The project was approved by the commission and will now be presented to the City Council for final approval. The proposed housing site is located north of Kortsen Road and Casa Grande Avenue between Pinal Avenue and Trekell Road.

Two newly proposed apartment complexes, Rodeo Crossings — a 144-unit project northeast of Kadota Avenue and Santa Cruz Road — and Mountain View Ranch, a 176-unit project at the northwest corner of Rodeo and Peart roads, were also approved and now scheduled to go before the council.
