Rental complex, land sale on CG council agenda

CASA GRANDE — The City Council agenda for Monday evening includes a sale of city land, a 209-unit rental development and an executive session regarding a proposed agreement with the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce.

City staff is recommending approval of an ordinance for a land sale agreement with IDM Apartments of Phoenix for the purpose of selling approximately 20 acres owned by the city at the northwest corner of Kortsen Road and Thornton Road for about $3,484,800.

Another housing option could soon be available to local residents with the Village at Avalon Heights development seeking a go-ahead from the council.
