An Arizona company is helping police departments with their staffing needs as agencies deal with high turnover and increased resignations.
Phoenix-based Epic Recruiting, specializes in law enforcement staffing, and points to a recent personnel survey of 172 U.S. police departments that found officer resignations have increased by more than 40% since 2019 and retirements are up close to 25%.
The stresses and strains of the coronavirus pandemic as well as civil unrest and anti-police sentiment after the death of George Floyd and the hands of a Minneapolis police officer in 2020.
Epic Recruiting is touting its 19-year track record and work it has done with police departments in California, Virginia and other states as it markets itself to other agencies.
That includes help law enforcement agencies with their recruitment of female officers as well as military veterans
“Our job is not only to increase the quality of the applicants on behalf of our clients but also to provide law enforcement departments with a simplified method to attract and retain police recruits.” said Sam Blonder, CEO of the Arizona staffing firm.
