Florence council talks transportation needs with county supervisor

FLORENCE — Town Council members outlined what they consider to be pressing transportation needs with a member of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

Jeff Serdy, R-Apache Junction, introduced himself to the council on July 18. His newly redrawn district includes North Florence.

Vice Mayor Michelle Cordes responded to Serdy about the need for local road improvements, especially Hunt Highway, Attaway Road and State Route 79. She said Attaway “is a mess” and the expansion of Hunt Highway “needs to happen down the entire road, it should be four lanes all the way. The traffic is there, the amount of people are there.
