BUCKEYE — Another light-industrial property and another potential commercial development were annexed into the City of Buckeye by a unanimous vote of the City Council on Tuesday.
Two of the action items at Tuesday’s meeting regarded the same property. Landowners Desert Sonora Co. and Dinan Holdings, LLLP want to develop about 227 acres located along the west side of State Route 85, stretching from Southern Avenue to Baseline Road.
The owners are seeking both annexation into the city and a rezone from SF-43, or single-family residential, to I-1, or light industrial. The council agreed to both actions.
An item continued from a September meeting was an annexation hearing and vote on Identico, Inc.’s 5.9 acres, located on the north side of MC 85, just west of Miller Road and a Buckeye Valley Fire District station.
