A final decision on Mockingbird Lane improvements has been put off again after an extensive discussion at Paradise Valley Town Council’s meeting Dec. 8.
One potential meeting outcome was improvement to include a sidewalk on Mockingbird Lane from McDonald to Lincoln drives.
Community Development Director Lisa Collins presented councilors with three options at the meeting. The difference between the first and second option is whether there is a new sidewalk on the street’s east side.
Both options manage drainage, address traffic speeds and upgrade existing sidewalks on the street’s west side of the street to meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
The third option, which was eventually selected with unanimous approval, was to have the Planning Commission undertake a review along with additional public outreach.
Mockingbird Lane improvements have been examined in meetings for more than a year. The project is scheduled for completion in 2024.
