Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Arizona on Jan. 19 to highlight the Biden-Harris administration’s clean energy investments.

Harris will be accompanied on the trip to Tonopah by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

The clean energy programs come as a result of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, which devoted $370 billion to fighting climate change, in addition to executive actions and measures from other passed laws during President Joe Biden’s term, including the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure law.

The Tonopah stop is Harris’ first official trip to Arizona as vice president.
