Goodyear recently added two more deputy city managers to its leadership roster.
Justin Fair and Kini Knudson bring ample experience to the city, and both are excited to be a part of Goodyear’s continuous growth process. The two will join earlier hire Andy Granger in the city manager’s office in October.
Fair he has been with the city since 2020. Initially serving as the city’s chief information officer, he has most recently been serving as the interim deputy city manager.
In this time, he said he has become familiar with the city’s inner workings, and he feels that both positions have similar qualities, which in turn will make his transition easier.
“Working as a CIO, it’s very relational, and working with the business units to support them, regardless of what their problems are,” Fair said. “So, while the solutions aren’t necessarily technology centric, you approach the problems very similar in terms of identifying what the issues are working, working with the team on potential solutions, and addressing them that way. So, while my background has been technology based my entire career, problem solving and collaborations with the team to work towards resolution, that principle really remains the same.”
