The Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission approved on Tuesday a site plan for a 214-unit multifamily complex.
The commission was presented an extensive presentation about the Avilla Marigold development from NexMetro Communities. The project is on 19.06 acres about a quarter mile west of the southwest Corner of Thomas Road and Jackrabbit Trail.
Adam Copeland, deputy director for planning for the city, presented the application on behalf of NexMetro, which was requesting site plan approval for a gated multifamily build-to-rent community.
According to documents, the project consists of 78 one-bedroom units, 78 two-bedroom units, and 58 three-bedroom units with nine different elevations and private backyards. All rental units are single story.
