#TSMC#Arizona is presently in a critical phase, where construction of the first fab’s 4.3 million sq. ft. building structure has been completed and we are meticulously handling and installing thousands of cutting-edge, specialized pieces of equipment into our clean room with TSMC’s unique tool configurations and requirements. Construction of the second phase is also progressing well. This marks a significant stride forward for what will be the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility in the United States. We had the distinct honor of welcoming the esteemed Mayor of #Phoenix, Kate Gallego, for a tour of our facility yesterday to showcase the impressive progress we have made so far.
“TSMC’s investment in Phoenix is positioning our city to be a world hub for the most advanced semiconductors,” said Mayor Gallego. “Soon, technologies around the globe will contain state-of-the-art microchips made in Phoenix, by Phoenicians, and as mayor, I couldn’t be prouder or more excited about this achievement. As TSMC continues making steady progress on its Phoenix facilities, I stand ready and committed to supporting them in recruiting talent in the construction and engineering industries that will make this future technology possible.”
Currently, our suppliers are actively seeking to recruit an additional 2000 skilled local workers for vital positions such as supervisors, detailers, electricians, ultra-high purity pipe fitters, and sheet-metal workers, specifically for tool installation purposes.
At TSMC, we are committed to creating local job opportunities in partnership with our suppliers, while also providing an inclusive and supportive work environment as we endeavor to build a sustainable domestic supply chain.
