Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego breaks ground on affordable housing project

PHOENIX — Phoenix officials, including Mayor Kate Gallego, broke ground on an affordable housing project, Dahlia Village, in the Valley last week.

Joining Gallego was District 8 Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington and representatives from both the City of Phoenix Office of Housing and Ulysses Development Group.

“As Phoenix continues growing and attracting new jobs, residents and families, we are working at breakneck speed to increase our housing stock, with an emphasis on affordable and workforce options,” Mayor Gallego said Thursday in a press release.
