Goodyear Airport hub to expand

The city of Phoenix city council approved land lease expansions to the Phoenix Goodyear Airport area on Feb. 7.

The city of Phoenix owns and operates the land and airport located in the city of Goodyear.

In one agenda item, the council approved an expansion for an air cargo facility on approximately 28 acres of vacant land.

The infrastructure build-out will cost approximately $40 million. The proposed cargo facility may include storage facilities, maintenance and repair facilities, or other general aeronautical uses.
