Glendale’s arts and culture master plan is not in its final form, and even when it is it may not include many absolutes.
When the city council heard an updated draft of the plan — at least in PowerPoint forms — four council members had a range of opinions on it and none were satisfied with what was in it.
City staff and consultants from the Cultural Planning Group will present the final draft of the 10-year arts master plan before the council June 25.
“I guess what I was looking for in this plan is … I mean for $100,000 we’ve set up goals but none of the goals are specific. None of the goals are outlined as to how they may be accomplished. What I find lacking in this plan was to really grab people’s attention would be to show examples of what’s been done in other cities,” said Councilmember Joyce Clark.
