Florence council candidates talk town growth

FLORENCE — This is the second in a series of articles in which candidates for Town Council respond in writing to questions from the Florence Reminder & Blade-Tribune. The primary election is July 30.

With unprecedented growth on the horizon, what are the two most important things the town must do to prepare?

Sherrie L. Bedford: We need to align priorities with a clear vision for the town’s future. Proactive planning and collaboration are essential. A well-prepared town can accommodate population growth while at the same time maintaining quality of life and essential services.
